29-year-old woman killed in District Heights shooting

Police say the woman was shot multiple times.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md. — A 29-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained during a shooting in District Heights Monday morning.

Prince George's County Police said the shooting happened around 7:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of County Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Marshay Hazelwood suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. 

Hazelwood was taken to an area hospital for treatment of her injuries, where she later died. 

Investigators are still working to figure out exactly what happened. No arrests have been made in this case, and there's no known motive or lookout for a shooter, according to police.

Anyone with any information about this shooting is asked to call Prince George's County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
