Video of deadly shooting in Dumfries released, police continue to search for suspect

The man killed has since been identified as 44-year-old Demetrious Levar Graham of Woodbridge.

DUMFRIES, Va. — Police have released surveillance video of a deadly shooting in Dumfries, Virginia in hopes of finding the suspect they say is responsible for pulling the trigger.

On Nov. 12, police found the body of a man in the driver's seat of a car in the area of Williamstown Road and Old Triangle Road just after 5:30 a.m. The man was found after neighbors called police to report hearing several gunshots in the area.

The man was later identified as 44-year-old Demetrious Levar Graham of Woodbridge.

Police released surveillance video of the shooting Wednesday. The video shows Graham's car moving toward an intersection when the alleged suspect walks toward the roadway and opens fire on the truck as Graham drove by.

The man doesn't appear to be wearing a shirt and has his face covered.

After the shooting, the man runs in the opposite direction while Graham's truck continues moving and eventually hits a parked car before stopping.

Detectives are still investigating the shooting and are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved in Graham's death.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 703-792-7000.
