Police investigate double shooting in Northwest DC

When officers arrived they found an unidentified man and woman who had both been shot.

WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after two people were shot in Northwest D.C. Monday night.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the shooting happened near Georgia Avenue and Gresham Place just before 6:30 p.m.

When officers arrived they found an unidentified man and woman who had both been shot. Police say both people were conscious and breathing. 

Officers are asking the public to look out for a suspect with long dreadlocks, wearing a long blue jacket and armed with a handgun. If you see this person, do not approach and call 911.
