WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a shooting that left another man dead in November.
According to a release from the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the shooting happened on Nov. 9 in the 1300 block of Savannah Street.
When officers were called to the area just after midnight, they found a man who had been shot multiple times. That man, later identified as 38-year-old Darnell Shaw Jr., was taken to an area hospital for help and later died from his injuries.
Police arrested 49-year-old Andre White for Shaw's death on Dec. 6. He has been charged with first-degree murder while armed.
There is no word on a motive in this case at this time.
