Shooting in Prince George's County leaves man wounded

The shooting happened in the Peppermill Village area, according to police.

PEPPERMILL VILLAGE, Md. — One man was injured in a shooting in Prince George's County on Wednesday, according to law enforcement.

Reports of the shooting came to dispatchers around 8:30 p.m., according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

The shooting occurred 1000 block of Cindy Lane in Peppermill Village, police said. Peppermill Village is a community in unincorporated Prince George's County, Maryland near Maryland Route 214.

When officers arrived, they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital, and police said he was conscious and breathing.

According to police, his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
