Get Up DC gives $1000 to DC Urban Greens

We're always looking for ways to Give Back. So, we've partnered with Easterns Automotive Group to recognize people doing things right in our community.

WASHINGTON — DC Urban Greens is a nonprofit running urban farms in DC's food deserts to alleviate food insecurity.

Currently, it's doing seasonal crops and every week it has a fresh harvest and it buys fresh fruit.

The group runs two markets in Ward 7 and Ward 8 on Saturday's.

In total, we've donated $1,000 to D.C. Urban Greens so they can increase accessibility of affordable health foods to residents living in DC's food desert neighborhoods.
