Women’s Slice of the Pie

Pizzeria Paradiso's Chef/Owner Ruth Gresser is honoring women elected officials on this International Women’s Day. Learn how you can get involved.

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Today is International Women's Day and Pizzeria Paradiso’s Chef/Owner Ruth Gresser is serving up leadership by helping to make sure every women gets a slice of the pie. On Friday, March 8, 100 percent of "United States of Pizza" menu sales from all five Pizzeria Paradiso locations, will benefit She Should Run.

She Should Run is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization promoting leadership and encouraging women from all walks of life to run for office.

"The United States of Pizza" special on March 8th honors Virginia Congresswomen Elaine Luria, Abigail Spanberger and Jennifer Wexton. 

What is on the Virginia pizza? Virginia country ham, cheddar cheese, cherry tomatoes, creamed corn, black eyed peas, collard greens and onions.

Pizzeria Paradiso operates five locations in the Washington, DC metropolitan area including Dupont Circle, Georgetown, Spring Valley, Old Town Alexandria and Hyattsville.
