Now that Thanksgiving is over, it's time to get into the Christmas spirit! Holiday markets, bazaars, and Christmas tree lightings are all over for you to get into the holiday spirit in style!

Christkindlmarkt

Where: Heurich House Museum - 1307 New Hampshire Ave. NW

When: Times vary

Every December, the Huerich House Museum celebrates the winter season by recreating a traditional German public Christmas market. The annual event will feature over 40 vendors and a historic house tour. The market begins Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and concludes Dec. 2 from 11 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are required.

Santa Lights Manassas

Where: 9431 West St. Manassas, Virginia

When: 5:15 p.m.

Enjoy a magical evening of musical performances and free wagon rides to celebrate the holiday season. After lighting the tree, children will have the opportunity to sit with Santa to explain their Christmas wish list in detail.

The Harris Pavilion Ice Rink will be open in addition to downtown shops and restaurants. Prior to Santa Lights, the annual Greater Manassas Christmas Parade begins at 10 a.m. to noon beginning on Mathis Avenue and continuing through Historic Downtown Manassas.

Saturday

Swedish Christmas Bazaar

Where: House of Sweden - 2900 K St. NW

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Interested in a Scandinavian Christmas? Supported by the House of Sweden, the Christmas Bazaar will feature an array of artisans and vendors selling everything from crafts, books and homemade bread.

Due to increased security, attendees will be required to go through a metal detector and strollers will need to be parked outside. The bazaar is held indoors from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and outdoors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free for this annual tradition.

SixFlags: Holiday in the Park

Where: Six Flags America - 13710 Central Ave. Upper Marlboro, Maryland

When: 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Holiday in the park may be the most magical time of the year. Enjoy holiday-themed attractions and extraordinary light exhibits that will be sure to put you and your family in the holiday spirit. Delve into special holiday treats including Christmas inspired funnel cakes, a stop by Mrs. Claus' Kitchen for a holiday feast and be sure to warm up by the s'mores fire pit.

The winter wonderland opens on select days until Jan. 1. Ticket prices vary.

Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights

Where: Old Town Alexandria Waterfront - 1 Prince St.

When: 5:30 p.m.

Dozens of Christmas-decorated boats will cruise along the Potomac River for the 19th annual Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. During the event there will be festivities including a pop-up beer garden, Lyft giveaways and a hot chocolate bar located at the Alexandria City Marina from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Lyft is offering 20 percent off to the boat parade with the code HOLIDAYPARADE2018! D.C.'s Holiday Board Parade will take place at The Wharf Saturday at 7 p.m.

One Loudoun Holiday Tree Lighting

Where: The Plaza at One Loudoun - 20626 Easthampton Plaza, Ashburn, Virginia

When: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Holidays are for spending time with families and friends and the sixth annual tree lighting at One Loudon allows you to do so. Spend the night riding horse-drawn carriage rides and meeting Santa! The folks at One Loudoun say this is a ONEderful holiday tradition is one you don't want to miss.

Jingle Jubilee & Tree Lighting

Where: 31 South Summit Ave. Gaithersburg, Maryland

When: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Make the most of this festive season by heading out to Jingle Jubilee! Expect a special visit from Santa, festive giveaways, holiday card signing for our troops and a tree lighting ceremony the following Monday at 7 p.m. Admission is free but note that the event can be canceled due to inclement weather.

The event will also collect items to support homeless veterans in Montgomery County. Requested items can be found on the website.
