Experience former chemist turned artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer's interactive technology exhibit which is the largest exhibit at the Hirshorn to date with three major installations. You'll be able to actively participate with illusionary environments that use your own bio-metric data for visual effects. You won't want to miss it and you're definitely going to want to bring friends.

Celebrate Chinese New Year with dance, acrobatics and puppetry with amazing and decorated artists from the Guangdong region of China. This is an event for the whole family so make sure you don't leave anyone at home!

When: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Run for a cause! The Cupid's Undie Run is an annual event created to raise awareness and funds for the Children's Tumor Foundation. To join the fun and run in your undies you must be 21 and over and you must register online. Registration requires a donation but you if you want to join in on the fun and not run, you can meet the runners for a party at the starting line and the finish line which is free and open to the public.

When: 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Kennedy Center is hosting a jammed packed day of fun for the entire family in honor of Chinese New Year. You and your kids will be able to enjoy calligraphy demonstrations, a traditional Cantonese costume photobooth, opera costume exhibit, lantern making, mask decorating as well as musical and puppet demonstrations.

When: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Before you head over to the DC Chinese New Year Parade, or after if you are looking for more to do, make sure to stop by the Chinatown Community Center for family-friendly performances and activities so that you can experience the culture, history and customs that are crucial to the Chinese Lunar New Year experience.
Where: Chinatown-starts at 6th & Eye St NW, and ends at 6th & H St NW.
When: 2 p.m.
Come experience DC's largest Chinese New Year celebration held in the heart of Chinatown and featuring beauty queens, incredibly decorated floats adorned with lions and dragons, kung-fu demonstrations and much more!
