Memorial Day weekend may be considered the unofficial start of summer, but in the film industry it is the official start of blockbuster season.

Here's a list of some of the most-anticipated movies coming out now and within the next few days.

Baywatch
Now playing in theaters everywhere, Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron save the summer when a peaceful beach community is threatened.

Baywatch is rated R, so this a date night movie for moms and dads. Leave the kiddos at home and go enjoy The Rock and his co-stars as adults.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Captain Jack Sparrow is on the high seas once again and he's on the hunt for the trident of Poseidon. After Johnny Depp surprised fans at Disneyland and the film suffered a pirating threat of the movie hacking kind, Dead Men Tell No Tales is still creating buzz-worthy headlines on its opening day today.

The Disney film is rated PG-13, so this can be something your teenagers can go see with you as a family, or on their own with friends.

Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie
Kevin Hart stars as a prankster named George who, along with his buddy Harold (Ed Helm), hypnotize their school principal into thinking he's a superhero named Captain Underpants. The movie is based on a successful children's book series by American author and illustrator Dav Pilkey.

While the animated family comedy is rated PG, parental guidance is suggested. Moms and dads may not want to take their toddlers, but elementary school-aged children will most likely have tons to relate to with the main characters.

Opens Friday, June 2.

Wonder Woman
Hollywood’s new “It” girl Gal Gadot stars as Diana, princess of the Amazons. But when a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, the warrior princess leaves home to fight the war to end all wars, only to discover her full powers and true destiny.

Wonder Woman is rated PG-13 and is the perfect girls’ night out movie for moms and daughter to go see and feel empowered, or even mom and her girlfriends. But let’s not leave the boys out. This classic superhero tale is one that everyone can enjoy.
