Whitney Wild joined the WUSA 9 special assignment team in June 2017 -her second time working in Washington, DC!

Prior to joining WUSA 9, Whitney worked as a reporter and anchor for 9NEWS in Denver where she broke dozens of stories and earned an Emmy award. Numerous outlets have picked up her reporting, including ESPN, Reuters, the Associated Press, NBCNews.com, and Tegna stations nationwide.

Whitney began her career at WJLA/NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. as a multimedia journalist. While in Washington, her reporting prompted the U.S. Marshals to arrest a child sex predator, helped ABC 7 News/NewsChannel 8 break local and national stories, and earned a Chesapeake Bay Associated Press Broadcasters Association award for multimedia journalism.
