WASHINGTON — Tom was born in New Jersey and grew up along the Jersey Shore in Oceanport. He is a big fan of the New Jersey Devils and Miami Hurricanes (his alma mater). During his free time, Tom enjoys playing golf, reading about history, playing video games, and watching sports.
During his decade in journalism, Tom has covered the Iowa caucuses, a presidential debate, the Kansas City Chiefs run to the Super Bowl, and numerous political campaigns & issues. In 2017, Tom was nominated for the "Best Military Reporting" Mid-America Regional Emmy for his story on the tragic death of Army Green Beret Matt Lewellen.
Tom started his career in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where he spent five years as a morning anchor and reporter. He then moved to the Midwest and lived in Kansas City for four years while working as a reporter.
Now a member of the WUSA team, Tom is excited to be back on the East Coast. He's looking forward to seeing his family more often while also diving deeper into the history and culture of the nation's capital.
