Marcel Warfield is a Social Media Specialist at WUSA9 in Washington, D.C., focusing on finding unique and innovative ways to tell stories using different social platforms.

He graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore with a degree in finance. Once he realized he had a passion for people and their stories, he decided to pursue a master's in journalism from the University of Maryland. He fell in love with digital journalism - using the digital space to inform and connect with the public.

Marcel likes to tell stories that inspire or impact the community. The WUSA9 digital team worked together to execute a social plan to help bring home missing children during National Missing and Exploited Children's Week. The team won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for their coverage.

When Marcel isn’t in the office, he enjoys being in the company of family and friends and getting in a good workout.

If you have a story you'd like him to tell, you can find him on the WUSA9 Instagram with Arielle Buchmann hosting an informative, yet hilarious '5 Things We Think You Should Know' show, on Twitter @marcelwarfield or by email at mwarfield@wusa9.com.
