Evan Koslof is a five-time Emmy award-winning journalist, who has been a proud member of the WUSA9 family since 2016.
He spent nearly four years on the morning show, where he specialized in politics and breaking news. During that time, he's especially proud of his stories that made an impact, including a 2018 piece on sex trafficking, a 2019 story on a non-binary 10-year-old, and a 2019 investigation into the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.
As a field reporter, Evan has covered dozens of protests and other breaking news events. He's even been sent across the country covering hurricanes in New Orleans and Jacksonville, as well as major sporting events such as the Nationals World Series run in 2019.
In 2020, Evan was promoted to be the face of VERIFY at WUSA9, in which he works with a team of researchers to dispel misinformation spreading online. This brand was especially important during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, dispersing life-saving, accurate information to the people of the DMV.
Evan's hard work has resulted in five Emmys and numerous Associated Press awards, including an Emmy for Best Political Reporter and an AP award for Best Video Journalist.
When he's not working, Evan loves visiting family in Boston or the Delaware Beaches, where he met his husband in 2015. The love of his life is his dog, #BrutusTheBoxer, who is a "good boy."
