Fairfax Co. officer recovering after being struck by a falling tree

After being struck by a falling tree during last week's Nor'easter, a Fairfax Co. police officer has left the hospital and moved on to rehab.

A Fairfax County police officer was struck by a falling tree while investigating wind-related damage during last Friday's wind storm.

They sustained non-life threatening injuries, and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Now, a week later, the officer has recovered enough to leave the hospital, and is moving toward rehabilitation.
