A D.C.-based artist has become part of the movement of folks outraged by the killing of Stephon Clark in Sacramento.
The California attorney general is now investigating why police shot Clark 20 times in his backyard, even though the man was unarmed.
For the past 10 years, Demont Pinder has been painting and documenting killings and murders — the events he calls unjust deaths. Pinder guessed he's done about 100 in the past decade.
He has painted the images of Eric Garner, Michael Brown and now Stephon Clark. The digital art that Pinder created on his iPad has now been put on T-shirts or carried around by those outraged by Clark's death.
Pinder said he creates his art to remember a painful history we must never forget.
Pinder plans on heading to California this week to do a live painting at Clark's funeral.
