WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- I will dive into my thoughts after I make the trek back to Northern Virginia (and I have plenty of them), but I thought I'd give you a dose of my notable quotables.
The Wizards 105-102 victory arguably was the best win for the franchise since the departure of Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison.
"Nobody expected this. And you're lying if you say so." Nick Young on the surprising win.
"I look at what 'Dray did defensively, he battled Perkins and got him frustrated. I thought that showed that our team wasn't going to be intimidated tonight." Flip Saunders.
"From the time they called my name out...I just try to keep my head in the game. The most important thing is we won." Andray Blatche on the booing.
"Roger had my back, and tried to get [the booing] out my head and keep me focused. That's what teammates are for." Andray Blatche.
"We just told him to keep playing. He's out there with us. The crowds going to do whatever they want to do." John Wall on the booing of Andray Blatche.
"I give [Blatche] credit because he played through [the boo's]. He's
turning down some good shots. It's almost like he's afraid to
shoot...Since his injury he's trying to play the right way." Flip Saunders.
"I'm just trying to keep it simple. I don't want nobody saying nothing about me in the media. Just keeping it simple." JaVale McGee on not celebrating on a big dunk.
"We did the little things you need to do to play winning basketball." Flip Saunders.
"Durant had some problems chasing [Nick Young]." Flip Saunders.
"In the second half I knew where he was trying to go with ball and just beat him there to get a charge." John Wall on defending Russell Westbrook.
"What John did is he ran the team. He filled the box with rebounds, assists and points. He stepped in and took charges. He was huge." Flip Saunders.
"Jan was great. Great amount of energy. He's getting to the point where he's one of our better big's on the pick and roll defense. He gets his hands on a lot of balls." Flip Saunders.
"I got going. My hands heated up. My teammates found me, and all you
heard was swoosh (laughs). Y'all like that one don't you? (laughs)." Nick Young.
"To be one of the worst teams in the league and come out and beat one of the best is huge. Hopefully our swagger will change some." Andray Blatche.
"We've been working hard in practice. Hopefully if we get some wins like this, we can get some days off." JaVale McGee.
"You saw [Durant] airball that one shot. That was all me, right there. I didn't go for his pump fakes and stayed on the ground." Nick Young.
"I think I am playing better, managing the tempo and finding my teammates, making my jump shot and feeling more confident." John Wall.
"It was great to have the crowd back on our side. That was probably the biggest crowd we had all year." John Wall on the fans.
"The win shows we can contend with great players and with great teams." JaVale McGee.
"Everybody played together. We got into a hole and fought back." Jordan Crawford.
