July 4th Weekend Forecast

Meteorologist Howard Bernstein has the full weather forecast.

WASHINGTON (WUSA) - For the rest of the holiday, storm chances are not overly impressive, but a few of us will still have to dodge a shower or storm.

Monday will be mostly to partly sunny, hot but not humid with just a stray storm.

The 4th of July will feature a slightly higher humidity level, and hence a few more storms. Widely scattered storms could light up the sky for the afternoon through the early evenings, but certainly not enough to cancel plans for! For backyard pool parties and barbecues, keep an eye to the sky.

Fireworks later in the evenings have a lesser chance of storms interrupting.

The beaches will also have to dodge a few storms, but not enough to rain on your parade!
