Friday's summer storm damages homes, cars in DMV

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) - Severe thunderstorms rolled through the D.C. Friday evening, causing damages to some homes and cars. 

In D.C., a tree fell in the 5300 block of 32nd Street NW, damaging two homes and a car. Fire officials say no one was injured. Two occupants of one of the homes were evacuated and sheltered in a neighbor's home.

There was a close call on Metro after a tree fell  into an Orange Line train near the Dunn Loring-Merrifield station.
