Montford Point Marines get Congressional Gold Medals in Washington DC
Over 200 Montford Point Marines the 1st Black Marines to fight in WWII attended the Congressional Gold Medal ceremony at the US Capitol in Washington DC. Several from Metro Detroit were there for the historical event.
