LIVE TRAFFIC BLOG: Tractor trailer crash, pedestrian hit

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Monika Samtani has her eye on a number of traffic incidents on Friday morning that are causing delays.

On the I-270 southbound spur south of Democracy Boulevard in Rockville, there is a tractor trailer crash with a fuel spill. The tractor trailer and another car collided but no injuries have been reported. The truck's saddle tank ruptured, causing the fuel spill. The truck has been moved to shoulder and hazmat crews are coming to the scene to deal with the fuel. The far right lane is closed and there are delays.

Sky 9 is on the scene of a pedestrian struck in the 23300 block of Woodfield Road near Watkins Road in Gaithersburg. We're told a 17-year-old girl was transported via ambulance to a hospital. She was listed in "stable condition."

Sky 9 shows a vehicle with front end and windshield damage. Monika suggests you use Route 108 (Laytonsville Road) instead.

A minivan caught fire on Rt. 50 (MD) inbound before Route 704 on the left shoulder in Prince George's County.
