Driver suffers serious injuries in Germantown crash

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Two people were injured in a crash that left an SUV on its side in an embankment in Germantown on Friday morning.

According to police, the crash happened at approximately 2:11 a.m. on Middlebrook Road at Great Seneca Highway not far from Seneca Valley High School.

Two men were in the vehicle at the time. The passenger was treated and released, say police. The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local trauma center.
