DC TRAFFIC ALERT: Heart of Petworth Festival, Police Week 5K

WASHINGTON (WUSA9)-- The Heart of Petworth Festival and the National Police Week 5K Race on Saturday will close some streets in D.C.

For the Heart of Petworth Festival, the 800 block of Upshur Street NW will be closed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Several streets down town will be closed to vehicles for the National Police Week 5K Race between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Participants will be assembling on 3rd Street, NW and F Street, NW for the start of the race.

The route of the race is as follows:

South on 3rd Street from F Street, NW East on Pennsylvania Ave South on 1st Street, NW/SW West on Maryland, Ave SW South on 3rd Street, SW West on C Street, SW North on 4th Street, SW East on Independence Ave, SW North on 3rd Street, SW/NW West on Pennsylvania Ave, NW U-Turn at the West Crossover (Pennsylvania Ave & Constitution Ave NW) East on Pennsylvania Ave, NW North on 3rd Street, NW West on G Street, NW South on 5th Street, NW East on F Street, NW Finish line on F Street, NW between 4th and 5th Streets, NW
