WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Are the winter blues stomping the life out of you?

Maryland-based psychiatrist Antonia Baum says studies show that this time of year "more than 90 percent of people do admit to some lessening of their mood." She recommends activities to try to trick your brain into getting happier, such as exercise and light therapy.
