OLNEY, Md. (WUSA9) – Starting Sunday night, Maryland State Highway Administration crews will resurface approximately two miles of MD 182 (Doctor Bird Road/Norwood Road) from north of Ednor Road to MD 108 (Olney Sandy Spring Road) in Olney, say officials.

Crews will remove the top layer of asphalt, patch, grind, resurface and install new pavement markings. They are allowed to work overnight up to seven days a week from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Officials warn that the construction equipment can be loud and disruptive.

Officials expect work to be done by late fall.

The resurfacing is part of $4.6 million in area-wide resurfacing projects to improve driving conditions in Montgomery County.
