WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The District Department of Transportation announces new two-way traffic pattern will be implemented on New Hampshire Avenue on or about Tuesday, June 17.
Officials say the new traffic pattern, which will be between M Street and Washington Circle, is an integral part of DDOT's New Hampshire Avenue Streetscape Project.
The new traffic pattern will implement two new bike lanes along the corridor and improve connections for motorists and businesses in the area, officials say.
Signs will be put in place to advise travelers about the traffic pattern change. Drivers are urged to stay alert and use caution in the area, officials say.
