WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Memorial Day holiday traffic is bad and D.C. is going to be doing some serious enforcement when it comes to wearing seat belts. It's the Click It or Ticket program to make sure everyone buckles up and arrives at their destination safely.
Over half of people who die in traffic crashes in the nation are not wearing seat belts. There is a fine and points involved if you don't buckle up.
D.C. police are working toward zero deaths this holiday weekend. For more information on the program, visit www.towardzerodeathsdc.com
