WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Wednesday, The District Department of Transportation will begin closing lanes on the Anacostia Freeway (I-295 and DC 295), I-695 (Southeast / Southwest Freeway), and New York Avenue to put up supports for new dynamic message signs.
DDOT officials say the following lane closures will be in effect between Wednesday and Friday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.:
Anacostia Freeway (I-295) between Malcolm X Avenue and Suitland Parkway - The right lane on northbound and southbound I-295 will be temporarily closed.
Anacostia Freeway (DC 295) between Pennsylvania Avenue and East Capitol Street - The right lane on northbound and southbound DC 295 will be temporarily closed.
New York Ave NE between the Maryland line and South Dakota Avenue - The right lane on eastbound New York Avenue and the two left lanes on westbound New York Avenue NE will be temporarily closed.
I-695 between 7th Street SW and South Capitol Street - The left lane on eastbound I-695, and two left lanes on westbound I-695, will be temporarily closed.
