ROCKVILLE, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police are investigating after a two-vehicle crash in the main lanes of southbound I-270 at Route 28 on Monday morning.
WUSA 9's Monika Samtani reports that one of the two SUVs overturned.
Three people were taken to the hospital, according to police. One person was in critical condition while two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
After a traffic backup that reached at least 10 miles, at approximately 8:30 a.m. police said that the road had reopened to traffic.
