Postion: Running Back
Weight: 201 Ib
Pick: 6th round, 186 overall
With their sixth round pick the Washington Redskins have selected running back Lache (pronounced 'Lake') Seastrunk out of Baylor. Seastrunk definitely wins best name of the Redskins draft class and will rejoin his former teammate in Washington in Robert Griffin the third. Seastrunk fits the Redskins' zone running scheme and can be utilized in the return game.
Seastrunk uses his smaller frame to his advantage when hitting the hole and avoiding tacklers. He does not possess elite speed but uses nifty footwork to get out in open space. The Redskins can feel good about this pick considering their ability to find quality running backs in later rounds (hint: Alfred Morris). Expect to see Seastrunk a lot on special teams and as a possible change of pace back on offense.
