The Baltimore Ravens selected Alabama star linebacker C.J. Mosley with the 17th pick in this years NFL Draft. The Ravens bolster their already good linebacking core with an athletic, well- coached, and (presumably) NFL ready linebacker in Mosley. Here is what Baltimore fans can come to expect from their first round pick.
Weight: 234 Ib
High School: CJ Mosley attended Theodore High School in Theodore, Alabama and was considered a four-start recruit coming out of high school. Mosley played in the 2010 Army All- American Bowl and during the game committed to play football at University of Alabama.
Freshman- Played 13 games as a true freshman and was a consensus freshman All-American
Sophomore- Started six games at middle linebacker and every game as the nickel package linebacker. He recorded 37 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and one interception.
Junior- Was a consensus All-American and a finalist for the Dick Butkus Award (for nations top linebacker). Led Alabama with 99 tackles, and recored four sacks and two interceptions. All three of his career interceptions were returned for a touchdown.
Senior- For the second consecutive year led the team in tackles with 107 and was finalist for the Lombardi, Bednarik, and Butkus award. Was a first team All-SEC selection.
