WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- John Wall will join Bradley Beal on the USA Basketball team this summer, according to a news release by the Washington Wizards.

"I am honored to be invited back to participate with USA Basketball and to have the opportunity to represent my country," said Wall. "I am also proud that Bradley and I will be able to represent the Wizards organization together while competing for roster spots against our peers from around the league."

Wall adds speed and offense to the already-stacked team.

"We are excited that John is now able to participate in our training camp. He had an outstanding season with the Wizards and was a strong performer for us at last year's National Team mini-camp," said USA Basketball National Team Managing Director Jerry Colangelo. "As we've said in the past, we can only extend the invitations to be part of the USA team; the players have to make the final decision and sometimes that decision changes because their circumstances have changed."

Wall will join 18 other players, including teammate Bradley Beal, who have been selected for the 2014-2016 USA Men's National Team pool. The 2014 USA World Championship Team and, if the U.S. qualifies, the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team, will be selected from that pool.
