Season series: Pacers led 2-1.

How the Pacers got here: Beat No. 8 seed Atlanta Hawks 4-3 in first round.

How the Wizards got here: Beat No. 4 seed Chicago Bulls 4-1 in first round.

Points per game (per 100 possessions): Pacers 96.7, Wizards 100.7 (Pacers 104.1, Wizards 106.0).

Points allowed per game (per 100 possessions): Pacers 92.3, Wizards 99.4 (Pacers 99.3, Wizards 104.6).

Matchups worth watching: Pacers C Roy Hibbert vs. Wizards C Marcin Gortat, Pacers SG Lance Stephenson vs. Wizards SG Bradley Beal.

Scoring leaders: Pacers SF Paul George (21.7 points per game), Wizards PG John Wall (19.3).

Why Indiana will win: The Pacers seemed to make steps toward righting their troubled ship during Game 7 against the Hawks. Their roster is championship-caliber when shots are falling. Hibbert should be much more himself playing against a more traditional frontcourt, as the Wizards will not pull him from the basket as often.

Why Washington will win: The Pacers' offense has abandoned them, while the Wizards made major strides in their five-game upset of the Bulls. Washington has more offensive talent in this series, and Pacers point guard George Hill won't be able to stay in front of Wall.

Did you know? Wall and the Pacers' Evan Turner were the Nos. 1 and 2 picks in the 2010 draft, so this series will be the first time the top two picks in a single draft faced off in the playoffs since the Wizards' Kwame Brown and Bulls' Tyson Chandler (2001 draftees) squared off in the first round in 2005.

Prediction: Wizards in 6.
