BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA 9) -- In Friday's marquee games, Whitman defeated Paint Branch, 59-38, and Blair held on to beat Blake, 61-52 in overtime.

In Silver Spring, just when it looked like the Blazers would win, Blake guard Derek Ogbonna sunk two from the charity stripe and sent the match-up into overtime with just one second left on the board.

"It was a tough game, one of the toughest of the season," said Blair guard Damar Bess, who finished the night with 16 points. "[I'm] happy as a team we could pull it off."

Raymond Burtnick and Tre Wainwright each finished with 13 points were major contributors to the Blazers' win.

Blair is now 9-2 and will take on a 5-7 Paint Branch squad Tuesday night.
