BOWIE, Md. (WUSA 9) -- With 32 seniors graduating last year, the 2014 Bowie Bulldogs is a young football team.

Coach Jae Jackson said about 70 kids have been attending camps and conditioning. He said the team has been preparing for the upcoming season all summer.

"We are a young team, but we still hope to attend our conference championship," said Jackson.

There will be some familiar faces on the team this season. Third-year starting quarterback Jordan Green will be returning, as well as several others.

Jackson said the team is looking forward to playing its first game of the season in the 5th annual I-95 Kickoff Classic. He said it's a great experience for the team.

"It's a privilege to be asked to be apart of the I-95 Kickoff Classic," Jackson said. "It's a great way to set the tone for the season."

Bowie will play in the I-95 Kickoff Classic at 1:30 p.m., Sept. 6 in Bergen County, N.J.
