WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Bryce Harper fans --and some baseball history buffs -- are going to love this one.
The Nationals All-Star outfielder appears in Major League Baseball's "For the Love of Baseball" campaign starting Friday. In the commercial debuting on MLB.com, Harper is plopped into old baseball footage, making it seem like he's spent some playing time with Babe Ruth and Ted Williams -- and it was all caught on black-and-white film.
According to a press release from MLB, the spot celebrates Harper's "'throwback' style of play" and suggests he would have fit into any era of baseball.
The clip will run again this weekend and throughout the season during baseball games on television.
