St. John's beat Seton in the Game of the Week winning 68-47. WUSA 9

BLADENSBURG, Md. (WUSA 9) -- St. John's girls' varsity basketball team defeated WCAC rival, Elizabeth Seton, 68-47, in Friday's Toyota Game of the Week.

Junior guard Amari Carter fueled the Cadets' victory, finishing the game with 18 points.

"We knew we had to come after them hard," said Carter. "We haven't played that many games, so we were out of it a little bit, but we definitely came in [and] played hard. Loud gym, packed crowd -- we wanted to put on a show."

St. John's went on to defeat O'Connell on Sunday night. The Cadets are now 11-4 and will look to continue their seven-game winning streak against Holy Cross on Tuesday.
