MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (WUSA9) -- Three lanes on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway will be closed for two nights beginning Wednesday, April 23, for construction.
Starting at 10 p.m., the three left lanes on the inner loop of I-495 between MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue, exit 33) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue, exit 31) will be closed to allow crews to perform emergency repairs on the I-495 bridge over Kensington Avenue (just east of Connecticut Avenue) tonight and tomorrow night, weather permitting.
All lanes of traffic will be open no later than 5 a.m. each day. Motorists should consider using MD 410 as an alternate route, which runs parallel to I-495 to the south.
