The CEO of a major company is seen on video repeatedly kicking a doberman puppy as it sits cowering on the floor at his feet in an elevator, according to Fortune, and the video is going viral.

The man is Des Hague, CEO for Centerplate, a Connecticut company that supplies concessions for sports and entertainment arenas around the country including the Washington Redskin's Fedex Field. Centerrplate is the stadium concessionaire for food, the Washington Redskins website says.

The company is a $6 billion business and is challenging industry leader Aramark, according to Fortune.

Hague released a statement saying it was "completely and utterly out of character." He continued: "I am ashamed and deeply embarrassed a minor frustration with a friend's pet caused me to lose control of my emotional response. I would like to extend my apology to my family, company and clients, as I understand that this has also reflected negatively on them."

Centerplate has 30,000 employees and more than 350 clients. The company released a statement this evening which reads in part:

"Centerplate does not condone the mistreatment of animals by any of its employees. Mr. Hague has agreed to attend counseling to address his anger management issues."
