Baylor fans who attend games at the school's new $260 million McLane Stadium will get to experience something no other collegiate fan base has experienced before.
School officials have launched an official Baylor Football mobile app that will allow fans to get instant replay and highlights from multiple angles, real-time statistics, breaking news, and videos of player and coaches interviews. The stadium, that will seat 45,000 at capacity, is expected to have a robust Wi-Fi network that will allow fans to access the app.
"It is like having your DVR remote on your phone where you can watch replays and highlights from your seat in the stadium," John Garrison, Baylor assistant athletic director for marketing, said in a statement.
Baylor officials said it's the first college athletics program to use this technology.
