Embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who has been the subject of numerous news reports alleging he has been under the influence in public or has used colorful language, is now ready to get help, according to an exclusive report in the Toronto Sun.

Ford has told the news organization that he is "ready to take a break" from his mayoral reelection campaign to "go get help."

Ford's decision comes after the release of a recording of him allegedly swearing at a bar.

The recording secretly taped by a bar patron captures the mayor making lewd comments about his contender and complaining about his wife, Renata.
