WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue said a 17-year-old from Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder and for arson of an occupied dwelling.
Authorities said, fire and rescue crews responded to the house fire at the 13700 block of Marbury Lane in Woodbridge, Va. early Sunday morning.
Crews put out a fire on the first floor, authorities said. Four adults, who were all inside of the home at the time got out safely and were helped by the Red Cross. Authorities said, a teen had minor injuries, however was treated and released.
According to the Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office, the investigation showed that it was an arson-related fire.
A 17-year-old male from Woodbridge, was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder, one count of arson of an occupied dwelling and one count of manufacturing an explosive device/materials or fire bomb, authorities said.
He is currently at the juvenile detention center, according to authorities.
