WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA9)--You will be able to start riding Metro's Silver Line at 12noon on Saturday, July 26.

This is the line's first phase with stations at McLean, Tysons Corner, Greensboro, Spring Hill and Wiehle-Reston East. A total of 11.7 miles of new track.

During rush hours, the trains will arrive every 6 minutes. At off-peak hours and weekends, trains will arrive every 12-15 minutes, says Metro.

The Silver Line, along with all the other lines operate during these hours:

Monday-Thursday, 5am to midnight
Friday, 5am to 3am (Saturday)
Saturday, 7am to 3am (Sunday)
Sunday, 7am to midnihgt

Before you hit the rails, it is important to plan ahead. Here is a list of the amenities each new Silver Line station has, and does not have, in terms of parking, Kiss and Ride, bus service and accommodations for bike riders.

McLean Station

Location: Route 123 and Scotts Crossing Road

Station Entrances: There are 2 station entrances. North and south side of Route 123, with a pedestrian bridge crossing Route 123.

Parking: 700-space parking lot operated by CityLine, a non-Metro facility. Lot is located at the intersectin of Route 123 and Scotts Crossing Road. Allday parking is $5.50 or you can go with a monthly plan at $90. Also has nine motorcycle spaces on the south side.

Kiss & Ride: Available on the south side.

Bus Service: North side has 2 bus bays. South side has 3 bus bays and 1 bus stop on Route 123.

Bicycles: 26 bike racks and 20 rental bike lockers. Contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation for more details on bicycle facilities.


Tysons Corner Station

Location: Route 123 and Tysons Boulevard

Station Entrances: There are 2 station entrances. North and south side of Route 123, with a pedestrian bridge crossing Route 123.

Parking: There is no parking available at this station.

Kiss & Ride: Not available

Bus Service: Northside has 3 bus bays. South side has 3 bus bays.

Bicycles: There are 38 bike racks and 20 rental bike lockers. Contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation for more details on bicycle facilities.

Greensboro Station

Location: Route 7 and Chain Bridge Road

Station Entrances: There are 2 station entrances. East and west side of Route 7, with a pedestrian bridge crossing Route 7.

Parking: There is no parking available at this station.

Kiss & Ride: Not available.

Bus Service: East side there is 1 bus stop on Route 7.

Bicycles: There are 20 bike racks and 20 rental bike lockers. Contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation for more details on bicycle facilities.

Spring Hill Station

Location: Route 7 and Spring Hill Road

Station Entrances: There are 2 station entrances. East and west side of Route 7, with a pedestrian bridge crossing Route 7.

Parking: There is no parking available at this station.

Kiss & Ride: Available on the east side.

Bus Service: East side with 5 bus bays.

Bicycles: There are 22 bike racks and 20 rental bike lockers. Contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation for more details on bicycle facilities.

Wiehle-Reston East Station

Location: Dulles Toll Road and Wiehle Avenue

Station Entrances: There are 2 entrances, one on the north side and the other on the south side of the Dulles Toll Road, with a pedestrian bridge crossing the Dulles Toll Road.

Parking: Daily/Reserved: 2,300-car parking garage, with 253 reserved spaces located on Wiehle Avenue. It will cost $4.85 a day to park there, or you can get a reserved space for $65 a month. There are an additional 1,000 parking spaces operated by Comstock, a non-Metro facility.

Kiss & Ride: Available on the north side.

Bus Service: On the north side there are 10 bus bays in a covered garage, 1 bus stop on Wiehle Avenue. On the south side, there are 5 bus bays.

Bicycles: 15 bike racks on both the north and south sides, and a secure reserved bike room for 200 bikes. Contact Fairfax County Department of Transportation for more details on bicycle facilities.
