WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA 9) -- A $1 million winning Virginia Lottery ticket went unclaimed and officially expired on Monday at 5:00 p.m.

The ticket was part of Virginia's New Year's Millionaire Raffle. The drawing was held on January 1. Virginia Lottery says that by law, winning tickets expire 180 days after the drawing.

The winning ticket, #092069, was bought at a 7-Eleven at 13304 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge. It was one of three million-dollar winning tickets. The other two were claimed by John Humphries of Danville, Virginia and Amy Lloyd of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

The unclaimed prize money will go to Virginia's State Literary Fund.
