MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- A Virginia man has been arrested for trying to wound two people with a machete in Manassas Monday evening.

Authorities said deputies responded to the area of Irongate Way and Winchester Ct. in Manassas around 6:27 p.m. Police said the victims, a 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old man both from Manassas were towing a vehicle from the area.

The vehicle's owner, approached the two men and was annoyed. The owner of the car then pulled out a machete and started hitting the hood of the tow truck, authorities said.

The victim's called the police.

Marco Tulio Hernandez, 34, of 10370 Launch Cir in Manassas is being charged with attempted malicious wounding, brandishing a machete, and destruction of property.
