LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA9) -- VDOT announced Friday that emergency repairs to a section of Dry Mill Road that collapsed Thursday will take about ten days to complete.

The road collapsed due to the heavy rains, VDOT said. The road repairs should be completed by June 23, weather permitting, authorities said.

Currently Dry Mill Road is closed between Woodburn Road and Thomas Mill road. The pipe is being replaced.

Drivers can take a detour via Woodburn Road, Harmony Church Road and E. Colonial Highway (Rt. 7).
