LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- Loudoun County residents may experience traffic delays this weekend due to several events happening in the area, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office says.

The Sheriff's Office said on Saturday, a benefit cycling ride will take place between Ashburn and Leesburg and back on the Washington and Old Dominion trail. Drivers who usually travel in the area of Ashburn Road, Belmont Ridge Road and Cochran Mill Road will experience an increased presence of cyclists crossing the road.

Authorities also said, deputies will be at each crossing to help. The event starts at 9:30 a.m.

In addition, drivers may also experience more traffic than usual on Route 50 in the Middleburg area between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. due to an event that is being held at Glenwood Park Racecourse.
