POTOMAC, Va. (WUSA9) -- The Loudoun County Sheriff's Department received a report of a possible shooting at the Dulles Town Center in Sterling, Va. at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Sheriff's Office there was no shooting or gunman seen at the mall. Deputies later learned that the caller overheard two females talking about a possible shooting and that they had to leave.
The two females who were overheard could not be found and have not contacted law enforcement, authorities said.
Authorities said out of caution the mall complex was searched. Nothing suspicious was found.
The mall has reopened since the incident, however some stores are currently still closed.
