UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA9) -- Deputies extradited two men on February 17, from Georgia to Prince George's County, Md. both on attempted first degree murder.
Deputies of the Warrant/Fugitive Division said warrants for Rashad Wright and Vernon Clemmons were obtained in June 2013 and December 2013.
According to the arrest warrant for Wright, Wright and two other men were sitting inside of a parked car in the 1200 block of Elfin Avenue in Capitol Heights, Md. on June 22, 2013. Wright and one of the individuals in the car got into an argument, authorities said. Wright then pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed the victim in his neck and back while the man tried to get out of the car.
Authorities said Wright fled on foot before police got to the scene.
Wright has been charged with attempted second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment as well, authorities added.
According to Clemmons' warrant, Clemmons shot at a car with three women inside in the 7600 block of Marlboro Pike in Forestville, Md. on December 6, 2013.
Authorities said the attack may have been due to an argument between Clemmons and one of the women.
Clemmons has additional charges including, attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment and firearm use during a felonious violent crime, according to authorities.
Both of the suspects were taken to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections where both are being held on a "No Bond" status.
