STERLING, Va. (WUSA9) -- Deputies have arrested a man who they believe was involved in a stabbing of a man in a gang-related attack, according to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office authorities.
The stabbing occurred on Saturday at approximately 11:25 p.m. in the 100 block of Enterprise St. The victim told authorities that four Hispanic males, two in their late teens to early twenties, approached him on a pathway. One male brandished a firearm and assaulted the victim, say authorities. He demanded money from the victim and when the victim resisted, a second male stabbed him, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his serious injuries, say authorities. He remains hospitalized.
Authorities say the victim believed the attack may have been gang related. He told authorities that all of the men were wearing blue shirts.
Tuesday, authorities said that 19-year-old Juan C. Reyes of Sterling was charged with malicious wounding by mob, malicious wounding, and attempted robbery. He is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
The case remains under investigation.
